Professional Illustrator of children's books
Specialist in the art of illumination
Born in 1961 in Caversham (United Kingdom), I completed a three year course in graphic design and illustration at Loughborough College Of Art Design. A further year was spent devoted to studying History of Art in France and Italy. This was followed by work in the Department of Decorative Arts at Leicester Museum and Art Galleries with continued study and academic research.
Very quickly spotted for the quality of my creations, I had the rare opportunity of being accepted at the very prestigious Royal Academy Of Arts Summer Exhibition
in
London, thus opening the doors to other galleries in various countries.
At the same time, having aroused the interest of major publishers both in England and in the United States, I then devoted myself almost exclusively to book illustration, as well as designing for big names in the world of luxury stationery.
Today, I have fully illustrated 39 books, many of the original illustrations of which were acquired by collectors of this highly sought-after pictorial art.
Having chosen to settle in France in 2007, I have never stopped perfecting my art, in particular in the field of illumination on vellum with gold leaf. I am now one of the recognized and respected specialists that contemporary art experts compare today
in their valuation reports of my works, to the great masters of the Middle Ages.
Constantly in search of innovation and improvement, I tirelessly pursue my artistic quest, now devoting myself almost exclusively to my activity as a professional watercolour painter. Varying my creative talents and fully living my passion for art, with the permanent desire to share it with others.
